Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for custom PVC or silicone products?

100 pieces per design. Several designs or colourways of the same shape and thickness can be combined into one production run to reach that minimum, and gift-set assemblies can mix several items in one carton.

How much does a custom PVC keychain or silicone part cost?

Unit price depends on shape complexity, finished size, number of colours, thickness and quantity. As a working guide, flat PVC items at 1,000–5,000 pieces sit in a low unit price band, while thick 3D silicone parts cost more per piece because of material volume and cycle time. Send a shape, a size and a quantity and you will receive a written price within one working day.

Is there a mould or tooling charge?

Yes, mould making is a one-off charge quoted per design, and it is quoted separately from the unit price. The mould charge is paid once. Reorders of the same design, in the same size and material, carry no further mould charge. Where a project cannot proceed, the artwork is never used for another customer.

Who owns the mould?

Moulds are built exclusively around your artwork. Once the one-off mould charge is paid, that tooling is reserved for your design: it is not used to produce parts for other customers, and it is not resold.

How long does it take to get a sample?

A pre-production sample is typically ready in 5–7 days after artwork approval. We photograph it against a ruler and ship it to you for sign-off before mass production begins.

What is the production lead time?

12–30 days after artwork approval, depending on quantity and finishing. Hand-painted 3D figures and dual-colour or glow silicone sit at the longer end of that range.

What artwork files do you need?

Vector files are ideal: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. High-resolution PNG or JPG works for reference, and a physical sample or a sharp photograph is enough for us to start modelling. If you only have a sketch, send it — we will build the 3D model and dimension it for you.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Give us Pantone C references or a physical sample, and we will mould a colour chip for your approval before production starts. This is the standard way to avoid colour disputes across a whole order.

Is soft PVC safe, and is the silicone food-grade?

Soft PVC is moulded with phthalate-free plasticisers (ATBC). Silicone is 100% food-grade, platinum-cured and BPA-free, rated from −40 °C to 230 °C. REACH, RoHS, EN71 and food-contact test documentation can be provided on request for the material and the market you are selling into.

What payment terms do you work on?

The standard arrangement is a deposit with the order and the balance before shipment, paid by bank transfer (T/T). Terms are confirmed in writing on the quotation so there is no ambiguity later.

How do you ship, and how long does shipping take?

Goods ship from Guangdong, China. Sea freight typically takes 25–40 days to the Americas and Europe; air freight and express courier are used for samples and small runs. FOB, CIF and DDP terms are all available, and export documents for your customs broker are issued in the same week as shipment.

Can I order a stock sample before committing to a custom mould?

Yes. Where a comparable existing shape is available we can send a stock sample so you can assess material feel, thickness and finish before paying for tooling. For fully custom shapes, the pre-production sample is the point at which material and colour are approved.

How do you control quality across a large order?

Incoming material verification, in-process inspection during moulding and finishing, and a final AQL inspection before packing. Checks cover colour against the approved chip, dimensions against the drawing, print registration, fitting strength and packing integrity.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

Lingvent Design is a manufacturer with an in-house design studio. Design, mould making, moulding, finishing and packing happen in the same 1,500 m² facility in Guangdong, China, which has been producing since 2004.
