Reference sample panel moulded in PVC with epoxy detail, photographed for client approval

Why the brief decides the price

For a custom moulded part there is no catalogue price. The quote is built from the material, the tool, the finishing and the volume — and every one of those changes the number. The clearer the brief, the tighter the quote, and the fewer changes after tooling starts.

The RFQ checklist

  1. What it is. A sketch, photo or sample of the part, plus what it does.
  2. Material. Silicone, rubber (EPDM/NBR) or soft PVC — or "you choose" with the environment.
  3. Size and tolerance. Overall dimensions in mm and which features are critical.
  4. Hardness. Shore A target, or a sample to match.
  5. Colour. Pantone reference, or a physical swatch to match.
  6. Quantity and repeats. Per order and annual volume — this sets the moulding method.
  7. Finishing. Printing, pad-print, assembly, packing, private-label needs.
  8. Compliance. Food grade, REACH, RoHS, or a specific standard.
  9. Target delivery. When you need the first sample and the bulk.

What we return

One quotation covering the mould charge (one-off, not re-charged on repeats), the unit price at your volume, and the lead time — sampling 5–7 days, production 12–30 days after artwork approval. Free 3D modelling precedes any steel being cut, so you approve the part before the tool exists.

If you only have a sample

No drawing is fine. Send the physical part and we reverse-engineer the dimensions, identify the material, match the hardness and colour, and return a quote plus a 3D model for sign-off. Our material pages explain the options if you are deciding between them.

Next step

Send the checklist to the contact page with as much as you have. We reply with a structured quote and the questions we still need answered — usually fewer than you expect.

FAQ

Do I need a drawing to get a quote?
No. A sample or even a photo with rough dimensions is enough to start; we model the part and confirm before tooling.

What does the mould cost, and do I pay it every order?
The mould is a one-off charge, dedicated to your design. Repeat orders are not re-charged for tooling.

How long until I see a sample?
Sampling runs 5–7 days after artwork approval, then production 12–30 days. Free 3D modelling comes first.

Can you handle food-grade or compliant material?
Yes — food-grade silicone, REACH/RoHS-compliant compounds and selected food-safe rubber. Tell us the standard and we specify it.

What is the minimum order?
100 pieces per design. Send the brief and we quote your actual volume, not a template.
